AFM activities span the entire accounting finance spectrum, which can be split into:
Accounting– Recording the financial statement impact of every transaction, from purchasing inventory to making sales to paying employees as well as preparation of periodic financial reports;
Treasury and Financial Management- Planning, controlling and monitoring the organization’s cash and other investments in a manner consistent with the top-level management’s goals;
Business Analytics - Forecasting and budgeting short- and long-term business activities;
Strategic Performance Management- using financial data to support performance monitoring and strategic planning.
